SUMMARY:Agritourism Insurance and Risk Management
DESCRIPTION:This two hour class is designed to be an introduction to the risk management and insurance issues related to agritourism and agritainment.  Those terms\, as the introduction notes\, are used interchangeably but share common characteristics: the use of a traditional agricultural enterprise (farm or ranch) for attraction of visitors and generation of income. \n\nThe second section is devoted to an overview of the risks attendant to operating an agritainment enterprise.  These include increased regulatory oversight and most definitely an increased exposure to premises liability.  Of particular note is the change that a shift from farm to agritainment may cause in connection with workers compensation exposures.
